Material and Compliance Certifications

Huyett has attempted to take the hassle and cost out of obtaining and managing Material and Compliance Certifications by making them available for Download in your Order History!

This document certifies that the supplied good meets the required specifications. These are also called Certificates of Conformance or Certificates of Conformity.

Certifies a material's chemical and, in some cases, physical properties and states a product made of metal is in compliance with specific standards of international standards organizations such as ANSI, ASME, etc. and bears the Heat Number from the cast from which the material was created.

Huyett attempts to provide or have available upon request a Material Certification for all of our products, but this is not always possible. It is important to note that many manufacturers will only provide a material certification upon the initial shipment of the product, which makes it very important to know the requirement up front. To make this as easy as possible, we include the following information on our products:

Material Certification Included – No Action Required at Time of Purchase.

When this message is present, it means that you will be able to access the Material Certification from your Order History Page at NO CHARGE. In some cases, there will be a Cert Request Form with all the required information that you can e-mail to certrequest@huyett.com, and we will provide a Material Certification within two working days.

Request No Charge Material Cert – MUST Check the Box to Guarantee Material Certification Availability.

This message means that Huyett RECOMMENDS that requests for Material Certification be placed at the same time as the order. This may result in a delayed shipment because it sometimes requires the item and Material Certification to be ordered at the same time and therefore may not be able to be shipped from stock. If this box is NOT checked at the time of order, you may still request a Material Certification but it may not be available. Any charges required to obtain the Material Certification will be the responsibility of the requestor.

Order Material Certification ($XX.XX) – MUST Check the Box so the request is processed with the order. The charge stated will be added to the order amount. For these items, in most cases, a Material Certification may be obtained after purchase for the same prices, but is not guaranteed.

This message means Huyett RECOMMENDS that requests for Material Certification be placed at the same time as the order and there is an associated charge. This can mean a delayed shipment because the items and Material Certification must be ordered at the same time and therefore may not be able to be shipped from stock. These fees do not apply toward the $100 threshold for the 5% Web Discount.

Order Material Cert – Special* ($XX.XX) – MUST Check the Box, so the request is processed with the order. The charge stated will be added to the order amount.

This message means that Huyett REQUIRES the request for Material Certification to be placed at the same time as the order and there is an associated charge. This can mean a delayed shipment because the items and Material Certification must be ordered at the same time and therefore may not be able to be shipped from stock. Will be unable to order a Material Certification after the purchase of the product. These fees do not apply toward the $100 threshold for the 5% Web Discount.

No Material Cert Available for In Stock Items – On these items, if a Material Certification is required, you MUST call Customer Service if a Material Certification is required.

This message means that CURRENT inventory that is in stock does NOT have a Material Certification available and it has been confirmed that it is unavailable from the manufacturer. This is usually because the LOT has been on the shelf for an extended period of time. If you require a Material Certification, please call Customer Service to ensure a special order option is available and gain lead time and updated pricing for the Special Order.
