Swage Sleeve Fittings

Swage Sleeve Fittings

Wire Rope Sleeves, also known as swage sleeves, cable ferrules, or cable crimps, are wire rope clamp fittings commonly used to form loop ends or wire splices. A wire is passed through one or more sleeves before being looped around a thimble or pulley before passing back through the sleeve, which is then crimped to prevent the wire from loosening. Swage sleeves are generally preferred to U-bolt clips and fist grip clips because they do not require re-tightening and tend not to loosen over time. Crimps and ferrules for smaller wire diameters can be installed with a hand swage tool. Wire rope sleeves are permanently installed, and cannot be reused. Choose from plain finished aluminum or polished stainless steel.

  • Takes up less room than wire rope clip assemblies
  • Cleaner appearance once installed
  • Use with wire rope thimbles to prevent damage to cable eyes
  • Choose from corrosion resistant aluminum or 304 stainless steel
  • Wire rope sleeves do not derate the cable assembly when properly installed
  • Installation requires a swage tool
