Coiled Spring Pins

Coiled Spring Pins

Coiled spring pins, often called spiral pins or expansion pins, are hollow cylindrical press fit fasteners with chamfered ends. They are roll formed with 2-1/4 turns of steel that allows stress to be evenly distributed throughout the pin’s cross section. These spring pins are used in assemblies for a multitude of different functions that including aligning, locating, positioning, sleeving and anti-chafing. Coiled spring pins work similar to slotted spring pins, but tend to perform better in out-of-round holes due to their coiled construction. Offered in light-, medium- (standard) and heavy-duty, material thickness determines “duty” level.
