Compression Springs

Compression Springs

Compression springs are coiled springs that shorten when a compressive force is applied axially. As force is applied, tension increases and the springs shorten in length. That stored energy is released when the force is removed and the springs returns to full length. These can be installed either under no tension at full length or compressed at a shortened length depending on the application. Compression springs are widely used in electronics, tools, precision instruments, medical devices, toys and more.
  • Provides resistance to inward axial force
  • Great for applications where the device needs to reset itself
