External Threaded Taper Pins

External thread taper pins are solid cylindrical pins with a uniform taper (Inch-1/4 in per 12 in, Metric-1 mm per 50 mm) that runs the length of the pin with an externally threaded shank at the pin’s large end. These reusable, high precision pins are held in place by dry friction and are used to align and hold assembly components together. They install easily by tapping with a hammer and are removed by tightening a hex nut on the threads to unseat the pin. These pins are often used in large mechanical assemblies and original equipment.
